I have Dragon Age origins for pc. And I started playing a long while ago, and by now, I'm a fair way in.
The patches seem to make significant improvements to the gameplay, and I think I need them to use the DLC and Awakening.
So I just want to know, if I install the patches, will I still be able to resume my character and so on or will I lose him and have to start all over? Will patching Dragon Age Origins mess up my saves?
Don't worry :) It's perfectly safe to patch up the game. It's 1.3 right? You should get a lot of improvement! Mine seems to get more money than usual.
If you're afraid it will ruin your previous save slot try open your document/bioware/dragon age/characters and back up the one character (or all if you have more than one). If somehow patching the newer version corrupts your save game, you can paste the folder back into the exact folder as I mention above.
Hope it helps and enjoy playing :) (Downloading the patch 1.3 enable you to play the DLC Return to Ostagar. You should try that too! It gives you sentimental feeling towards Cailan ;) It's recomended!)Will patching Dragon Age Origins mess up my saves?
Patches don't effect your saves. MMORPGs have patches all the time, and it never makes you start over. Same with uploading updates on consoles. Will patching Dragon Age Origins mess up my saves?
You can use patches just fine. They just make the game run smoother. Your character will be unharmed. Hope this helps ^_^
Now a days, games do not usually affect your saved games when patched, although it is possible. in reference towards the answer before me, an mmorpg's saved gamed is typically saved on the remote server, so it of course, will not be in any way affected by a patch. If the patch will affect your saved game, then it will tend to have a warning.

Is Dragon Age Origins for the Xbox 360 worth it?
I have money for 2 games and Bioshock 2 is deff one of them. My friend told me that dragon age was good bcuz I loved oblivion and fallout 3. I love rpgs. Do you think this game is worth the money? Is Dragon Age Origins for the Xbox 360 worth it?
You will ABSOLUTELY FALL IN LOVE WITH DRAGON AGE ORIGINS!!! Obviously im biased, do what you want, but DA will have you hooked and the story is like you are watching an amazing movie but yet you control the decisions which of course, have consequences.
The game will leave you wanting more and more which is why they are continueing to add DLC and eventually a sequel. By the way, my favorite game of all time before this was Oblivion, just get it man,Is Dragon Age Origins for the Xbox 360 worth it?
Dude do yourself the favor of getting this game, it is the best RPG I have played in like forever. It's depth and scope is amazing and you can play it through like six times and not have the same story. DO IT!

Should I play Dragon Age Origins or Dead Space 2?
I'm playing through Dragon Age Origins, and only have the "A Paragon of Her Kind" left to do before the Landsmeet, and I plan to play Dragon Age Origins Awakening too. I just got Dead Space 2 today, and I really want to play it. Should I just finish the game, or play Dead Space 2 and come back to Dragon Age Origins later?Should I play Dragon Age Origins or Dead Space 2?
Just play ds2. if you're anything like me you'll just end up playing your way through dragon age, thinking about how excited you are to play dead space so that by the time you actually DO play it you'll be so sick of it. Just beat it once, it'll only take a few days probably.Should I play Dragon Age Origins or Dead Space 2?
Play both ha ha, you don't have to dedicate yourself to one game at a time! play dead space a bit then play dragon age whatever ha haShould I play Dragon Age Origins or Dead Space 2?

How can I install expansion pack of my Dragon Age: Origins?
how can I install expansion pack of my Dragon Age: Origins? I have already installed DAO and finished the game but while trying to install the expansion pack it says Dragon Age is not installed in your computer, which already is.
PS: my both games are pirated version! How can I install expansion pack of my Dragon Age: Origins?
Most people who pirate games also pirate the dlc's for them. It is highly recommended that you use these together as they are extremely compatible and have been made to be used together by the original pirater.

Is Dragon Age Origins a stand alone game or an expansion to a different one?
Question is for the game on PS3. And also is it anything like Oblivion? I purchased Dragon's Souls thinking it was, but it was really different. Any other comments about the game are appriciated too!Is Dragon Age Origins a stand alone game or an expansion to a different one?
Dragon Age Origins is a stand alone game that is unrelated to any other game currently. There are a number of expansions and add-ons to Origins, as well as Dragon Age 2 coming out in just over 2 months.
It is somewhat like Oblivion, but not nearly as open, since you are restricted to set areas when you are exploring. However, it makes up for this because the story can be a bit deeper since you can't have the "go anywhere do anything" approach. The game is more like the Mass Effect series. All in all, I like the game, but it may or may not suit you.
It's stand-alone. The combat system is kind of a mix between D%26amp;D and KOTR(real-time with pausing to command). It's pretty different from Oblivion. As Mr said, the rest of the game is pretty similar to Mass Effect. So basically just imagine a Fantasy Mass Effect with a KOTR battle system and you've got DAO.Is Dragon Age Origins a stand alone game or an expansion to a different one?
Dragon Age isn't like oblivion, it plays more like a single player WoW, only you control everyone in your party. it's not an expansion either, just make sure you don't get "dragon age origins: awakening" because the covers look almost the same, awakening is an expansion to origins.
I have the game for the 360 and you can purchase in-game content. Its not like Oblivion because you control a party but there are similar aspects to it like open-commuication with npc's, classes are the same (rogue, warrior, mage) and you do quests. Is Dragon Age Origins a stand alone game or an expansion to a different one?

Is there anyway I can rig an hp pavilion notebook pc to play Dragon Age: Origins?
Is there anyway I can rig a "hp pavilion dv6-1247cl entertainment notebook pc" to play Dragon Age: Origins? I was going to by the game, but I want to make sure my computer can handle it at lowest settings. I heard it can't play it, but I was hoping there was a way to fix the laptop up or something.
I'm willing to play the game at the lowest possible settings. Is there anyway I can rig an hp pavilion notebook pc to play Dragon Age: Origins?
wekll loooking at specs you might be able to run it on the lowest possible settings but whats killing it is the graphics card. and that is not easy to replace. you could try but its gonna lag like heck. i suggest getting hte demo first and trying that out on it before you go buy the game.

What is a good graphics card and psu for Dragon Age Origins?
My psu is too weak to handle most of the modern graphics cards and I need both in order to run Dragon Age at better than lowest settings. I'm on a budget of around $150-$200.What is a good graphics card and psu for Dragon Age Origins?
for that price you could get an Nvidia GTS 250, it retails at about an average of 120-150$, thats more than enough to run that game at full blast with all settings on high. If you want something cheaper you could go for an Nvidia 8800GT( my card) and that works just fine with almost all recent PC titles dragon age included. As for a psu you should be fine with 500watt psu( also what i have) but if you can try to get a more powerful one. I think you should get the GTS 250, its a good card at an affordable price also it only requires 450watt psu at minimum.

What should i not miss in dragon age origins?
I want to get a really good character on dragon age origins using warrior and i don't think i should get the guide because when i complete it i want to get awakening so is there anything i need to do for something cool that i cant come back or any order to do things or just thing to look out for and i have dragon plate armor dlc and stone prisoner dlc.please give more than give lots of answers not just giving ten points to first person. What should i not miss in dragon age origins?
You should definitely not miss the dragons. What should i not miss in dragon age origins?
-Make sure you get every possible companion. Some like the dog and sten are easy to miss.
-Get every party member's approval up so you don't miss their personal quests
-Put at least one rank in pick pocketing, this opens up a line of quests and you can get some loot
-Hold down the tab key when you travel, it will show you where hidden things are and keep you from missing out on things. What should i not miss in dragon age origins?
Why, the controversial "love-scene" of course. I heard Bioware is not gonna put anymore of it in Awakening.

Can you zoom the camera in and out in Dragon Age Origins for the 360 the same way you can on the PC version?
I have been playing Dragon Age Origins for the XBOX 360, and it's been awsome so far. I was on the computer looking around the other day and seen a video of someone with the PC version and they where zooming the camera in and out the same way you can in World of Warcraft. I was wondering if you could use the camera the same way on the 360 and PS3 version? I just thought maybe I was missing an option somewhere. Can you zoom the camera in and out in Dragon Age Origins for the 360 the same way you can on the PC version?
No, that's one of the things that was chopped out of the console versions of the game.

Cheapest laptop to play dragon age origins on?
what are the system requirements that wld let me play dragon age origins smoothly on a laptop? and about what price would be the lowest and where wld i get it?Cheapest laptop to play dragon age origins on?
You asked a similar question a few days ago, no? You are not asking a small question.
The thing is that no one can answer this question for you easily. How is anyone going to tell you the cheapest laptop available and be sure that it's a good deal? Also, it's not usually a good idea to make a PC buying decision based on a single game which will take you all of two months to play in it's entirety. That same laptop may be useless for games coming out in a year.
Look - here's a way to figure it out for yourself. Go to the Dragon Age website ( or wikipedia) and look for the recommended system requirements to run the game. To run the game smoothly, don't just meet ... exceed the requirements by a little. If you don't know much about computers (it sounds like you need more than a little help) go to a site like NewEgg.com or Dell.com and look at laptops and ask questions from sales support. Go to a local retail store and talk to someone. Don't buy, just learn what you need from Best Buy, or wherever is local to you.

Dragon Age origins How do i know if the downloadable content is working or not?
I already installed Awakening and finished the game. I loaded origins save file and checked stuffs but I don't see any new quests. I tried the last save file but it just ends the game so i'm sure this dlc works on the mid time of the game. How do I make sure the dlc is installed properly. And it's not like it won't work just because i installed the expansion right. i loaded the origins file so it should work.Dragon Age origins How do i know if the downloadable content is working or not?
Awakening is a separate portion of the game that takes place after Origins. I'm not sure about the download, but I do know that the disk version of the game requires you to swap over to the Awakening disk when you want to play that one, so maybe you have to choose to play Awakening rather than Origins.raw food dragon age age 2

Should I wait to play Dragon Age Origins?
I really want to play Dragon Age Origins, but it takes really long to beat, like over 50 hours, and I plan to do all of the side quests. I want to beat the game without stopping before Christmas so I can import my save file for Dragon Age 2, but I have exams coming up, and don't want to be to preoccupied with Dragon Age Origins. What should I do? Should I play the game or wait until later?Should I wait to play Dragon Age Origins?
Wait until your exams are over. The graphics are stunning and the game itself is pretty good, there is a chance you might get hooked and seriously distracted from your studies.
When christmas holidays start, you can start playing the game.Should I wait to play Dragon Age Origins?
what do you want to import for? Dragon Age 2 is about a specific character, the path is set and so is the end but you just shape the journey, so I'm not sure what will actually import? Unless I'm mistaken it seems pointless to play it to import it, play it if you want to enjoy it : ) And concentrate on your exams the game will still be there after, good luck on your exams xxShould I wait to play Dragon Age Origins?
You should wait until marriage before you play Dragon Age Origins.
That being said, if you want to play that game, you're probably never going to get married/have a girlfriend anyways.

Can you use the Dragon Age: Origins Blood dragon armour on both Mass effect 2 and Origins?
I bought dragon age origins a while back and found it had a code inside for a armour for mass effect 2, since then i have learned that there is also a blood dragon armour on Dragon age. Do i have to choose which game i get the armour for or can i use it twice, Once on both games to unlock the armour for each? Can you use the Dragon Age: Origins Blood dragon armour on both Mass effect 2 and Origins?
No, the code unlocks the ability to use the armor in both games. So far in Dragon Age, when you get the download, the chest plate will appear in your inventory, while the remaining pieces will be available from a dwarf merchant that is in your party camp. No idea how it's going to work in Mass Effect 2, but we'll get to find out in just a few days on the 26th.Can you use the Dragon Age: Origins Blood dragon armour on both Mass effect 2 and Origins?
The armor is linked to your profile on the BioWare social site and can be downloaded for both games. If you downloaded it for Dragon Age you can download it for Mass Effect 2 as well. If you had the armor in Dragon Age Origins, you stumble across the decomposed corpse of your DA;O hero wearing the armor.
You proceed to robbing his corpse and the armor along with it.
There are 2 codes.
One for ME2(to be entered in the ME2 main menu, not XBL Dashboard), and One for DA:O(to be entered in DA Main Menu).

Would it be worth it to play Dragon Age Origins after Playing Dragon Age II?
I really enjoyed Dragon Age II, and I want to continue the experience. Would the game play seem to old to still enjoy, or would it seem to awkward, if I played the original Dragon Age? I play this game on the PS3.Would it be worth it to play Dragon Age Origins after Playing Dragon Age II?
No it would not be awkward. It is just a different combat style. It is not so flashie
I think you would still enjoy it.
Have fun!

Steal from every NPC in the towns (I believe Leliana starts with the Steal ability). This will also trigger random encounters with guards in Denerim.
Buy and equip the dwarven merchant's belt (sold by Sandal's father in camp).

Are the Dragon age origins down loadable contents reusable?
On dragon age origins(ps3) i really want to use the down loadable contents(such as the dragon blood armor) but my brother is afraid we can only use the code once. so if any one knows that would be a great deal of help (he thinks he's more important and deserves the armor more than i do...stupid jerk.jkjk...but it does lead to a few fights)Are the Dragon age origins down loadable contents reusable?

Which version is better for Dragon age origins?
Im looking to buy dragon age origins but i don't know if i should get it for the pc or the xbox?Which version is better for Dragon age origins?
As with any Bioware RPG, go with PC.
I made the mistake of getting it on ps3, and it plays like ****. Framerate drops all the time, the radial menu for skills is a disgrace, there's less options to apply to the game.
Dragon Age: Origins has too many skills and complexities to bring it to a console without impacting the flow of gameplay. The game itself is still absolutely great, but playing it on a console is not. I'm returning it soon and am just gonna get it on PC.

Question about dragon age origins soundtrack?
I've been browsing through the dragon age origins soundtrack on itunes, and I was looking for the song that's playing during a... erm... romance scene. I think it's the prettiest music ever playing during that scene, and I wanted to buy it to have it put on my mp3 player, but I couldn't find it! Is it part of a different song and just wasn't included in the 30 second sample on itunes, or was it just completely omitted from the soundtrack?Question about dragon age origins soundtrack?
in the game manual it says it's called "Love Song" Music by Inon Zur. Lyrics and vocals by Audrey Ashburn

It doesn't look as if it's on the itunes soundtrack though :(Question about dragon age origins soundtrack?

Will an NVidia Geforce 9400 be able to run the Mac versions Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2?
I want to buy the Dragon Age Complete Pack of Gamers Gate and I want to know if I will be able to run these games. Im pretty sure I can, but I am just making sure. Thanks. Will an NVidia Geforce 9400 be able to run the Mac versions Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2?
Probably Dragon Age 1 on low, but I'm guessing not for Dragon age 2.Will an NVidia Geforce 9400 be able to run the Mac versions Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2?
Dragon Age II is one of the best games i have played in a long time. I love what they did with the new combat. Mages are more fun to play now then they were in Origins and I love playing mages. The only complaint i would have is that you can not change the armor of your companions but its a very minor complaint. Will an NVidia Geforce 9400 be able to run the Mac versions Dragon Age: Origins and Dragon Age 2?
Check the the video card and computer requirements for the game. It can be found on the back of the box. From what I read, probably not.
I would say yes. I believe you may be able to run the game. Maybe not on max but yeah.

What sort of a game is dragon age origins?
i'm new to RPG games,i'm a hardcore fps guy,but i got really hooked to fallout 3.
so i was searching for some good RPG games n i came accross dragon age origins,is it some thing like fallout 3? (i dont mean the setting or weapons) i mean is it something like WOW or do i play it in first person or 3'rd person(like gta) ??
also is it worth buying(for pc) or is it just media hype surrounding the game? What sort of a game is dragon age origins?
It's definitely a great RPG. The game is set in a fantasy world (magic, evil creatures, etc.). Kinda like a Lord of the Rings type thing. It's played in 3rd person. Your main character sets off on a journey and meets others along the way, so you play the game with a party.
It's somewhat like Mass Effect + Freedom Force vs The 3rd Reich but you can select which character to control at any point during the game, you may pause from time to time for a tactical planning of how to handle a situation. You can set the way your AI partymates move and attack. You can select your entire party like a warcraft3-ish style or control them individually. You can control the growth of each character. It's also great because there will be times when you have to make decisions which can affect how the story goes and how the people see your character.
It's absolutely awesome, graphics, story, concepts, skills, everything...and that's the problem, it's waaay too impressive. I wouldn't recommend it unless you play it on xbox. I'm running on 6gb ram, intel core2duo 3ghz, nvidia geforce 9800, 64bit win7...and it was choppy for most parts, and extremely choppy at mob battles. What sort of a game is dragon age origins?
Dragon Age origins is a brilliant game with an epic story that follows you (A grey warden) Fighting a never ending war and gathering an army of Elves, Humans, Werewolves and even dwarfs!
You will meet all sorts of interesting characters, some evil and some good; some who fight for justice some who just fight.
It's more like WoW than Fallout 3; third person medieval fantasy style. It's A LOT better on the PC than any console, you will get magic, skills and various special attacks.
Hope that helped!
3rd person, great story, great character customization and ability customization for you and your several followers, great expansion(awakening), and good swords magic n bows gameplay with a wide variety of special attacks and spells. i guess in that last aspect and the spells/abilities, sorta WoWishWhat sort of a game is dragon age origins?
It's similar to Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic and Diablo. Meaning you have to select your attacks and abilities. It's not like an FPS where you just point and shoot.
3rd person.. kinda like that shrek game on ps2

My Xbox 360 S gets really loud when I put Dragon Age Origins in it?
It doesn't do this with any other game, just my copy of Dragon Age origins. It did the same thing with my old Xbox (a white one). Strangely it didn't used to do this, it's only recently started this crap. I can't be both those consoles so it's gotta be the disc, do you have any idea what's wrong? My Xbox 360 S gets really loud when I put Dragon Age Origins in it?

Which Platform should I purchase Dragon Age Origins for?
I think I'm going to get Dragon Age Origins and I was wondering whether I should get it for PC, X-Box 360, or PS3.
Is the game play or graphics or anything really different on any of them?Which Platform should I purchase Dragon Age Origins for?
I say PS3. That's what I have an it amazing!! The graphics are awesome and since its on the PS3 it saves automatically at critical points. I don't think the X-Box does that. Plus the PS3 has the internet hooked directly to everything you do so you can make an account for the game online on whatever website it tells you and your progress is shown online. And its constantly updated. Plus, I heard on the X-Box the graphics are really off and look super bad. I love the game. You should buy it for PS3, I don't know how well it is on the pc, but since its such an intricate game it may run really slow on your computer. Its a huge game! and it sucks on xbox soo...Which Platform should I purchase Dragon Age Origins for?
The best answer is wrong, it will be best on PC. Graphics and everything wise.
I bought my copy for PC, and would recommend that.
I have heard that their are quite a number of minor issues on the console versions, as well as some graphical limitations. Here is a quote from a review I read:
On PC the game is reservedly handsome, enlivened by atmospheric lighting and a fine finish on the game's virtual actors. On the Xbox, though, Dragon Age looks just plain ugly and out-of-date. It's plastered in muddy textures, washed-out colour and bad shadowing, giving it a grimy look that doesn't suit the classical art style at all, and exposing the rough-hewn, low-detail environments in a harsh light.
You can read the rest of the review here:

I'd say PC. They released the dev kit already and people will be making mods for a long time to come. Can't get any of that on consoles.

Is there a filter for games like Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age Origins?
I was just wondering, because I heard that Mass Effect 2 has really bad language and some questionable scenes, along with Dragon Age. Is there any way to skip these scenes or turn down the language? Thanks to everyone who answers! Is there a filter for games like Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age Origins?
Mass Effect 2 has very little in the way of bad language. I can recall only a couple of places where a character drops the F bomb, and a small handful of S word moments. There is no nudity (there was the one scene in Mass Effect, but it was not full OR frontal) in either game, and in ME2, the scenes are implied, or just tender, but no explicit romances.
In DAO, there is no nudity, but there is an underwear scene or two and clearly implied sex. You can turn off the blood splatter, but its on by default: DAO characters spend a great deal of time covered in blood otherwise.
If there is a mod that simply turns off the romance scenes, you might find one at the Dragon Age Nexus (google it). Fair warning: The Nexus also contains mods to dial UP the sex scenes, and while there is no accidental way to install one rather than the other, don't click on any of the sex mod pictures and complain that I sent you to a DAO pr0n site :PIs there a filter for games like Mass Effect 2 and Dragon Age Origins?
There is no language filter.
There are no questionable scenes. Fox News once exaggerated by saying Mass Effect is a game with full frontal nudity and having sex with anyone you meet. This news report had only one purpose and that was to sell some psychologist's book. They later apologized for this lie. You only see a sex scene if you want to pursue a relationship with the characters. The sexual content is very tame so you shouldn't worry about that. The sequel, Mass Effect 2, is even tamer when it comes to sex scenes. All sex scenes are optional. You don't want them, you won't see them.
The "bad language" is the usual. People saying F-words and S-words but that's pretty much it. It's not like there are any people who still haven't heard any of those words before. Swear words are pretty rare and nothing extraordinary.
Dragon Age is a bloody game. There is some intense and graphis violence. That's why it got a mature rating after all. The sex scenes leave a lot to the imagination. The characters have sex with their clothes on.
Violence in Mass Effect 2 isn't more intense than any other M-rated game.

Will there be a sequel or second game after Dragon Age Origins?
My mom got Dragon Age Origins (PS3) for Xmas, and I decided to play it, and I absolutely love it. The game is a bit short though, but still. Probably one of the best games I've played, in my opinion, in a while. I just recently finished the game and was wondering if there is going to be a sequel to it. I'd absolutely die if there is :DWill there be a sequel or second game after Dragon Age Origins?
Yes there is Awakening.
Here's the link http://dragonage.bioware.com/awakening
It's a sequel to the first part after you slay the Arch-Demon.
Don't want to spoil anything from the trailer, great veiwing
It's going to cost $40 USD as far as I know and about 8GB so it should be full of content.
There are other expansions to "The Wardens Keep" and "The Stone Prisoner"
It will be downloadable and sold separate in stores.
Great trailer Enjoy I know I will. Will there be a sequel or second game after Dragon Age Origins?

How to leave with Sten in Dragon Age Origins?
On the Dragon Age wikia, it says that it's possible to travel with Sten to Seheron end-game. Is there anything I need to do other than assure his approval is all the way up and that I get him his sword Asala? Do I need to avoid high approval/romances with other characters or have to do certain quests in specific ways? etc. :)
Thanks. How to leave with Sten in Dragon Age Origins?
At the end of the game if you survive you get to talk to all of your party members before the epilogue. If Sten is at high approval you can talk to him about going to Seheron. I think you can't be in a romance with anyone or have made yourself king/queen. These choices will override him.
If you play Awakening or even import that save in to DA2 any relationship you had with Sten isn't acknowledged at all. This choice doesn't really have any long term payoff.subway application medical city dallas

Did the creators of Dark Alliance make dragon age origins?
I was wondering because i heard it some where and i really liked all the dark alliance games. So i was hesitant to get dragon age origins but if the creators of dark alliance made it i would have high hopes for the game and would undoubtedly get it.
Also if you would like to post your opinion of the game dragon age origins i would really appreciate your input and your experience with the game.Did the creators of Dark Alliance make dragon age origins?
black isle studio's made that one, but bioware published it (dragon age dev's)
bioware developed 1 and 2.
black isle studio's then went on to form obsidian entertainment. from there they developed annoyingly buggy but usually good games.
bioware has recently done mass effect as well.Did the creators of Dark Alliance make dragon age origins?
I could be wrong but I don't think Dark Alliance was made by Bio-ware. Dragon Age originss is one of my favorites. Huge game with a lot to do. Don't know if you played any of the Starwars Knights of the Old Republic games but the system is a lot like that where every decition effects the gameplay. An RPG worth the money.

What race should I choose for a warrior in Dragon Age:Origins?
I finally got Dragon Age for my PC and I can't decide what "origin" I will like the most. Pretty much I want a badass warrior, that has a huge two handed sword killing everything in the front lines (w/o a shield I'll have to be able to take massive amounts of damage) But since I want to be a badass warrior, should I become an elf, human, or dwarf? What race should I choose for a warrior in Dragon Age:Origins?
Dwarf, because they are given more tanking stats to begin with like +1 strength, +1 dexterity, +2 constitution 10% chance to resist hostile magic. And the nobel get combat training right at the begining so it is definetly helpful.
I'd go with a human noble or a dwarf noble since they both get combat training as their starting skill. This will give you quicker access to your weapon abilities. Really though the differences are pretty minor in relation to your starting skills/stats, I'd recommend choosing the story line which interests you more. What race should I choose for a warrior in Dragon Age:Origins?
Try both races, human and dwarf. I am human noble for now, sword shield combo, looks nice with good armor. Not sure witht he dwarf have not tried it yet. Also check the Racial Bonus stats. Also dwarfs are more resistant to spells good for fighting spell bound creatures but Humans are more versatile so it is really up to you
Humans are versatile but Dwarfs seem like the tank of the group due to it's bonuses against magic spells. What race should I choose for a warrior in Dragon Age:Origins?

i want to complete dragon age origins because i know dragon age awakening is coming out but i'm in the middle of modern warfare 2 and i'm 1st prestige 34 and if i stop my friends will get ahead of me i want to play a sword and board character playing with alistair oghren and morrigon how long any tips or builds? How long will it take me to complete dragon age origins?
It's fast if you don't take the time to really enjoy the game and finish sidequests which is one of the main reasons I enjoy that game but if you want to finish it that badly don't need to do any and follow the main quest line. You can finish it in probably 25 hours or less. I take my time with exploring. I'm almost done and have played for around 4 hrs!:))How long will it take me to complete dragon age origins?

I would like to know how long it would take to play "Dragon Age: Origins" (the main game) for the X-Box 360. No downloadable content, not with the expansion pack. Just the main game. How long should it take to play "Dragon Age: Origins"?
First of all, AWESOME game!
It's the kind of game that makes you wish you lived in their world (something that only One Piece did to me, lol).
It takes about 60 hours. If you really do everything, maybe about a 100.
But still, it's worth it!
Edit: according to gamespot.com (my favorite game site), it will take you about 50 hours to finish the game. It took me more though, I'm the kind that likes to roam around. :P

They said they had a couple years worth of expansions and a sequel planned. Not sure how many it would be. They will also have more DLC addons. Will there be more expansion packs for dragon age origins?
Yes. You can download the expansion pack from 16 march. it will give you 12-15 hour play time. You can import your previous character with previous stat, item and effect that you have done sincerely, but your party won't be imported. Will there be more expansion packs for dragon age origins?
Probably, but nothing is confirmed.
Dragon Age is a great video game so I wouldn't understand if they didn't add more expansions.

I also tried downloading it from the game marketplace but it didnt even show up in my inventory. Someone please tell me what i have to do.I bout dragon age origins pre-owned for xbox 360, can i still get the blood dragon armor?
That's my question! :PI bout dragon age origins pre-owned for xbox 360, can i still get the blood dragon armor?
I thought to get the armour you needed both a new copy of Dragon Age %26amp; Mass Effect2 (since it appears in both games) ..... and you needed to have registered them both on EAs website? I got Mass Effect 2 new but Dragon Age on eBay - both are registered now with EA but I didn't get the armour .... would be nice if an e:mail to Support would get me the code - I might try blagging it !!
I also tried downloading it from marketplace (don't know why it's on there to be honest) - it said it was downloaded but nothing appeared ... I think obviously its appearance is tied to you having a code ......I bout dragon age origins pre-owned for xbox 360, can i still get the blood dragon armor?
You need the redeem code. But if you brought it somewhere else contact EA and they'll be able to give it to you in seconds. Even if it is still a problem I think im not sure but there is a character in the game that creates the rest of the blood dragon armour so he maybe able to make it for you.

The codes that go out with the games are one use only. If the person who originally bought it used the code, it won't work again. It's a safe bet to say this is the case.

What is the best class in dragon age origins?
I was planning on getting dragon Age 2 and Then i decided to get this what is the best class to start with and best race??What is the best class in dragon age origins?
In dragon age origins the classes are somewhat unbalanced compared to mage but this is barely noticeable.
Mages can be very diverse thanks to their abundance of skill choices
An Elven Mage will get you a headstart on the mage build because of the elves +2 willpower.
Rouge is hm......Rouge is more for if you want to do skills that dint have to apply to fighting. A high cunning rouge can talk their way out of 99% of all situations if they have Master Coercion and back themselves up in battle. A rouge with a bow is better than a rouge with dual weapons to me =/.
Warriors are all about the battles.
The best warriors are Shield users They have the right balance of defense and strength. If you want to use dual weapons, then the warrior is a lot easier than the rouge that uses dual weapons.
Personally, I think the best class depends on your style of game play. The strong sword wielding warrior? The quick witted speedy rouge? The spell-slinging mage? This choice depends on your taste...What is the best class in dragon age origins?
I thought mages were the most fun to play in Origins. You can do a lot of damage and be more creative in how you build your character. My second favorite would be rogues. Warriors are fine too and are easier to figure out, but their abilities aren't all that interesting.
Race doesn't really matter in terms of stats. I think elves are interesting though because you are an oppressed minority. The female city elf is my favorite origin. What is the best class in dragon age origins?
I would go with mage first cause their are alot of good powers that you can havebut if your worried aboout open doors and chests go with the rogue as for the class it doesnt matter
rouge duh

Between the Xbox 360 and PC versions of Dragon Age, what are the differences? For Dragon Age origins, what are the differences between the Xbox 360 and PC versions?
On a high-end PC, the graphics might look a bit better. Other than that, the pair of three swappable shortcuts in the bottom right corner of the console version is replaced with a standard hot bar, where powers, stances, and skills can be slotted just as they are in countless MMO titles. The select button menu is nowhere to be seen, with the PC version instead featuring a row of buttons at the top of the screen, allowing quick access to inventory, your journal, character stats, and the like. The PC version of Dragon Age allows players to scroll backwards into an overhead, Baldur's Gate-like camera, presenting a much more tactical view of the map you are on. It also allows a more tactical approach to battles, so the difficulty is bumped up a notch for the PC.
And finally, the PC version allows you to use tons of great mods. For Dragon Age origins, what are the differences between the Xbox 360 and PC versions?
the games are almost identical being it follows the same story line but the way you can pause the game and look around is changed because in the xbox 360 version you get a wheel giving you options and you cannot really look around to focus on where to direct your focus onto but in the computer version you can actually zoom out and look at the state your party is in and such. You also cannot have as many abilities set so that they can be easily used in the xbox version where as you have a full bar to place all of your best abilities on due to the lack of buttons on the xbox 360.auto parts stores kens5

I'm not sure if the game allows it (like Mass Effect 2 does) - but even if you can't, you could just start a new game and play it from there.
...Apparently that's the *only* thing you can do after beating the game (without starting a new game) - play the DLC. So yes.I have beaten dragon age origins and the expansion awakening can i still play the downloadable content includi?
yes you can, and it's actually better since u can transfer ur character to WH and GoA

Dragon age origins the best spells for a pure damage dealing mage?
I love the game dragon age but I've never exactly been able to build a mage to it's best damage dealing potiential. I hear people say they hit in the 900 with a mage the most I've ever done with one spell is...76. So what are the best spells to be purely a damage dealer?Dragon age origins the best spells for a pure damage dealing mage?
Well first you need to boost the power of your spells to do massive amounts of damage. Spell Might and Spell Wisp boost the power of Spells, not just for damage purposes but also healing and stuff. Also using for example an ice spell on a rage demon would do like 200% damage, because their made of fire or fire based, something like that. Go to dragon age wikia, just google it. They have mage guides, spell combos, mage builds etc.

No, you are forced to choose one or the other. If you make Alistair king though he will not leave Fereldan for good, he will stay king and you can talk with him after the final battle. But he will no longer be part of your party, Loghain will fight with you instead. Is there anyway to make alister spare loghain's life without leaving the party in Dragon Age origins?

How do I access Awakening for Dragon Age: Origins on the X-Box?
Alright, I feel like such a noob for asking this, but it is driving me insane. I have the Ultimate Edition for Dragon Age. I have downloaded everything off the second disc and beat Origins. I want to access Awakening and transport a character, but I can't find the awakening Campaign, nor anyway of accesing other campaigns in the first place! The second disc says it's only the downloader disc, so Awakening isn't on that one. Fellow players, help! How do I access Awakening for Dragon Age: Origins on the X-Box?
Don't worry, it's not a stupid question at all =)
All you have to do is start a new game (on the main disc). You can then choose whether you want to play Dragon Age: Origins or The Awakening. In this case, choose the Awakening.
You then have the choice to create a whole new character or to import a character from Origins. Import a character from Origins.
There is one bug I'd like to warn you about though. The Awakening WON'T import your Origin's DLC equipment. So if you have an Origins character wearing equipment from a DLC, it's equipment won't be transported.
There's been a patch released to fix this problem. Now,the imported character will get other, default equipment. Just so you know.
Have fun playing! It's a great game! How do I access Awakening for Dragon Age: Origins on the X-Box?
I would start the game and see under Downloadable content (if there is a place called that) and if not go to the Game Marketplace and look up the DLC you have. If you find it press play game and make sure the game is inHow do I access Awakening for Dragon Age: Origins on the X-Box?
You use the main disc. Then you start a new game, and a menu will pop up with all the addons. That's where you select Awakening.

Dragon Age Origins: If I save right before the last boss, can I still explore the world?
I am going to buy Dragon Age, but I can't beleive that you can't explore after you beat the last boss. That's the most retarted idea Bioware has had to date. (And they've hardly had any). But if I save right before the last boss, can I still retrace my steps and explore the world?
Hopefully somebody who has already done this can answer my question. Thank you.Dragon Age Origins: If I save right before the last boss, can I still explore the world?
Not quite. You will travel to a town at the end of the game that will trigger the final battle. After it starts, the only places you can travel are ones in the downloadable content you have bought. But, you have plenty of time during the game to complete every quest. Just do your exploring before you start the final battle. The game itself isn't exactly over after that battle, it will continue in later expansions and sequels.

Dragon Age Origins is better then Mass Effect and Fable 2. I have played the demo for Mass Effect, and I didn't like it one bit... or maybe it was Deep Space? Anyway, I'm sure I would like RPGs more then a FPS game. It's way better then Fable 2, because it really sucked, it was okay at first, but then it sucked, and I couldn't play it a third time, it was too boring. It's no where near as free as Oblivion, so Oblivion wins, it's the best Western RPG out there, except for the Morrowind of course. Fallout 3 I've played 8 times so it's way better then Dragon Age Origins. Is which of these following games is dragon age origins for the 360 better than?
Well, to be honest, I enjoyed all of them. The only ones I can really view Dragon Age Origins better than would be Mass Effect and Fable 2. (Mass Effect 2 doesn't count!) Oblivion and Fallout 3 are in a sense, the same. Massive RPGs. Oblivion might be a bit higher than Fallout 3, but not by much. Dragon Age Origins fits right in there (possibly at the top, we'll see what the future holds)

Is it possible to have multiple characters on Dragon Age Origins for XBOX360?
I have Dragon Age Origins for the XBOX 360. I've played it through once with a mage character, but wanted to play it again through a different character perspective. I started a new character (warrior) and after a few hours, decided to take a look at my mage again. Now it appears that he is deleted. Is the mage character actually deleted? Or is there some hidden menu somewhere to choose which game you'd like to continue from?Is it possible to have multiple characters on Dragon Age Origins for XBOX360?
When you go into load game there should be a button you can press I think it is the Y button and it goes into the list of characters you have.Is it possible to have multiple characters on Dragon Age Origins for XBOX360?
I checked this out last night as I was playing - you can start as many new games as you want by selecting "new game" at the opening window. Then you can access all your characters by selecting "load game" from the opening menu, then hitting 'X' - this will bring up a list of your characters, what race/class/origin they are, what level they are, and how long you've been playing that character.

What's the best first class for Dragon Age: Origins?
I ordered Dragon Age: Origins (xbox 360) online and it's coming in in a day or two, and i was wondering what the best first class would be. I'll most likely be an elf. If it makes any difference (not sure how close or different the combat systems are), when i played World of Warcraft, my mains were warrior and death knight. Also, reasons behind your answer are helpful. Thanks ^^What's the best first class for Dragon Age: Origins?
Typical Group :ur typical group in combat will contain one tank, one mage and 2 damage dealers. In the early stages of the game and on easier difficulties u can choose to have all of them in melee range if you wish. The downside is that u r grouping up ur characters, which can put them all at risk of area effect spells and abilities. This also means that ur characters need to run around in order to engage enemies at a distance.Any time you are not swinging ur weapon at an enemy and they are is time where u are losing.
Better Group :A tank, a mage and 2 ranged attackers are an improvement over the typical group. While ur tank runs in and engages the enemy, their role is not to deal damage but to absorb it,so there is no time lost.In the meantime, all ur ranged attackers can focus on and eliminate enemy targets with relative ease.A possible hiccup here is that enemies will start to run towards ur ranged attackers, meaning the tank will be running around a whole lot and u'll need to really manage ur team.Still, from a damage dealing perspective, this group is a very solid make-up.
Best Group :Obviously using the word best is subjective.Everyone will have their own opinion about this but in my experience, this is the easiest way to move through the game without continual reloading. As mentioned in the previous section, ranged combat is preferable to melee since u're dealing damage the entire time rather than running around. It also ensures that ur using the most powerful class in the game to their maximum potential. The best group is made up of a tank and 3 mages. I'm sure u're thinking, wow it's hard enough to manage a single mage, how can I handle 3? That's the beauty about it,u only really need to manage a single one.Put the other two on tactics that attack whomever you are targetting and let the computer cast away.I can guarantee that 3 mages casting Blizzard,Inferno and Tempest will destroy any group of enemies u encounter.Even more so if they all have access to Force Field to protect ur tank and each other. There are many ways to build your group and in the end it's up to u to decide which formation works best for u.
that was only a suggestion that u may want to try out ,if u need more help just email me.

When u begin the game u choose which gender, race, and class u want to be.This ultimately leads to which Origin u will embark upon. All Origins lead to the same main story line, the beginning will be different from one origin to the others but once ur reached Lothering it'll be the same except for some alteration in the way that characters interact with u through out the game. ur base stats are also determined by the race and class u select.
hope that helps %26amp; enjoy the excellent game :)What's the best first class for Dragon Age: Origins?

Elf because they're cool and mage because you get some insane mage powers in the game. You'll have a party of four and some people play three mages and a 'tank' (warrior)tucson resident evil 5 cheats

I have started playing Dragon Age Origins on my PC, but whenever I engage in a conversation, the audio is a bit crackly, and it is hard to understand what they are saying sometimes. I was wondering is there any way to fix this?Is there any way to fix the crackly audio dialog of the characters in dragon age origins?
maybe something is wrong with your speakers try it on a different computer or adjust the volume cuz sometimes if your speakers are to loud they might do that.

What are all the games that are very similar to Dragon Age: Origins?
Need a list of quite a number of games that are very similar to the game "Dragon Age: Origins"What are all the games that are very similar to Dragon Age: Origins?
Both Star wars: knights of the old republic games. Kotor 1 was made by Bioware, like Dragon age. Kotor 2 was made by Obsidian Entertainment(Suggested to Lucasarts by Bioware, because Bioware was busy making Jade Empire(Which is another game that plays similar to Dragon age, though I've found it to be rather short)). Although made by a different company, KOTOR 2 plays exactly like KOTOR 1(but due to a rush for release for the 2004 holiday season, A lot of content was cut from KOTOR 2, and it was very buggy when released(if you get it for xbox, make sure you get the most updated realease, if for PC, you can find an updated patch online)).
AJ has the best answer, but let me add to that that BioWare has a Sci-Fi series that play very like Dragon Age called Mass Effect.
Mass Effect follows Commander Shepard in covering the invasion of council space by a race of aliens. There is a central plot to follow and several side quests. You will join the Specters (think grey wardens with an unlimited special effects and weapons technology budget!), assemble a team and be given command of an elite experimental starship to pursue the main villain in the central plot and attempt to prevent the destruction of more colonies. There is an opportunity to change the outcome of your friends' fates through influence, romance or plot choices.
Mass Effect 2 picks up a few months after the conclusion of Mass Effect. Many of your companions from the first game either return or are seen briefly. If you import the previous saved game, your choices from the first game will affect the environment in the second game. Commander Shepard attains a legendary/Chuck Norris reputation (Shepard will get killed early on, and it only pisses him/her off), goes rogue with some shady funding and a new ship, reassembles a team and heads back out to try and find the source of the aliens again. Choices again to influence your friends, or romance them, or stay true to your romance from the first game. Plot choices heavily affect how your team survives the final battle, or if you do yourself, and will influence the final chapter in the series (Mass Effect 3).
Mass Effect 3 due out some time after Dragon Age 2.What are all the games that are very similar to Dragon Age: Origins?

older games (but very worth playing!):

In Dragon Age: Origins: Awakenings if i import my character does anyone know who I am?
If I import a character into Dragon Age; Origins Awakenings does anyone know who you are? Does the King or Queen acknowledge you or other pervious characters? Or do they treat you like some brand new person they never met?In Dragon Age: Origins: Awakenings if i import my character does anyone know who I am?
Yes... i'm not sure how far you are along in the games so i don't want to spoil anything, but the king will recognize the imported character as the two of them spent presumably a great deal of time adventuring together and stopping the blight. Also, one character from origins (I won't say who) can re-join your group in Awakening, and this person is very friendly with you.
You'll also bump into one or two old group members from origins who will update you with what they've been doing since the end of the first game.
Ultimately, to answer your question: yes. Characters from Origins will know you in Awakening if you import your character. In Dragon Age: Origins: Awakenings if i import my character does anyone know who I am?
some will some don't since your beginning a whole new story here... but there are benefits by importing...
* People of Amaranthine will treat a Ferelden Warden with respect, as opposed to suspicion towards an Orlesian Warden.
* An imported Warden appears to tier all companions to his/her level also.
* An imported Warden will only be imported with the weapons and armor that the Warden had equipped with when imported, but will have all unassigned accesories and all basic items. Your companions equipment will be lost unless you unequip them and keep them as unassign accesories in your inventory. (you can strip via epilogue save @ camp)
* New Wardens do not benefit from the stat or talent gains garnered from Lost in Dreams or increases from tomes

How do I get the custom weapon/armor in Dragon Age Origins: Awakening?

Dragon Age: Origins PS3 - How do you use the gems to upgrade weapons?
In dragon age: origins for the PS3, how do you use the gems to upgrade your weapons? I have a bunch of gems that it says can be combined with my sword, I see the slots on the sword, I just can鈥檛 combine them. Can anybody help me out?Dragon Age: Origins PS3 - How do you use the gems to upgrade weapons?
You have to talk to the blond dwarf in the party camp, the one who always shouts "Enchantment!" Not sure, but I think that might be clue. Anyways, talk to him, and tell him you want some enchanting done. From there follow the button commands at the bottom of the screen to insert the runes.
Edit: That's why I say runes.Dragon Age: Origins PS3 - How do you use the gems to upgrade weapons?
The other guy says its for upgrading weapons. THAT IS NOT TRUE. Runes are used to upgrade weapons, not gems (like ruby, saphire, etc.)
** SPOILERS ****
When you get the dwarf army you can deposit gems (in party camp mode) in the crate (kind of like how you can deposit runes for the mage army). They use it for payment. Otherwise, sell it for money for the first third/half of the game...

Can the mods made with the Dragon Age: Origins tool set be installed on an Xbox 360 and if so, how? There are some awesome mods for the PC version, like the storage chest at the camp, some of the HD texture mods, etc. My best friend has the 360 version. Like Kevin said. I'm an elf mage (which i like) but i still die. No matter what you'll die! Just have fun and pick a fun character!
It's up to you. My favorite is the Mage origin, mages are the most powerful class in the game and the origin story is pretty cool. Second would be a tie between city elf and dwarf noble.
You can make a character and play each origin story and then continue the game with the one you like best.
When it comes to sheer power, nothing's as good as the mage. While you will be extra-squishy, your damage-dealing ability is the best by a long shot, and it's certainly a lot of fun to play. I'm on my second play through and I'm using an Arcane-Warrior mage
My first play through I used a rogue, and it was a lot of fun. The reality is that in your group you'll likely need at least one of each class to be successful, and you'll also have to control each character (often times meticulously) in order to win battles on all but the easiest difficulties. With that in mind, you'll be battling as every class, so your hero should really be whatever class you'll enjoy Role-Playing as the most.

How to play dragon age origins without a video card?
I want to play dragon age origins without a video card because i don't have one any help would be appreciated oh and i have a vista by the way.How to play dragon age origins without a video card?
Rute is wrong, not all PCs come with graphics cards. Many desktops come with just integrated graphics, but those are chips, not cards.
The system requirements are very clear. If you don't have a graphics card you can either buy one or get a video game console. The game is best on PC according to about every critic, so go for the first option. There is however a third option, which is don't play the game at all.
For Vista, you need at least a mid-range graphics card. Integrated chipsets on the motherboard (that provide your video output if you don't have a graphics card) just don't have enough graphic power to keep up with this game's needs. You'll either have to add a graphics card (if there's a slot available) or get a new system.
From Dragon Age's forum:

u must be referring to using on board graphics rather than an after market video card. in that case i can tell my old pc running nvidia 6100 on board (built into the mother board) graphics are not suitable to play and thats about as low as it gets for mother boards nowadays. now the one i recently built has the intel G41 onboard graphics and that plays it beautifully. the biggest things you need to worry about is how much ram your onboard has and the pixel shader. you want 3 for the pixel shader but can get away with 2. and im usinf 1024 MB of video ram the closer you get to that the better. graphics cards are cheap now so if you have to get one the minimum is a nvidia 6600 and you can find em for less than 20$ if you have a pcie slot. i would install it try it on low settings and see how it goes.

How do I use Lyruim potions in Dragon Age: Origins?
Ok well, I have dragon age origins on xbox 360 and throughout my time playing it, I haven't been able to use any kind of potion via my inventory. Is there another way I'm ment to use these? I'm able to heal myself with the quick heal thing, but I just can't use potions in my inventory. I don't know how. Please help. How do I use Lyruim potions in Dragon Age: Origins?
Only Mages can use the lyrium. When you have Morrigan, you can help replenish her magic/mana in combat when she runs low (it is the blue column on her portrait.) You have to switch to her using your RB/LB buttons and then open the radial menu with LT and select the lyrium potion which she can then use.
Poisons, etc, can only be used by rouges in combat or to make traps (if they have the trap-making skill.) Health potions and injury ones can be used by any party member to fix their injuries or replenish their health. How do I use Lyruim potions in Dragon Age: Origins?

I have an Nvidia gt240 258.96 driver physx acceleration is set to recommended my processor is an Intel q6600 2.4ghz. And when I play dragon age origins in says on the upper left screen physx%26gt;cpu. Dragon Age supports Physx but only on the CPU. It doesn't support hardware acceleration from the graphics card.

How should my Male Noble Warrior look in Dragon Age Origins?
I have ideas to for looks for my characters. One will look like the guy in most of the original trailers for Dragon Age Origins (from the Sacred Ashes trailer and other ones like ones at E3), and another character like that, but with a five o' clock shadow and black hair the looks like Loghain's. How do you kill the broodmother in dragon age origins?
how do you kill the broodmother in dragon age origins? i get her health to half and she kills three of my guys by then and then i die i don't have any health items. Is there a way to avoid her by backtracking or something? How do you kill the broodmother in dragon age origins?
There are ramps that go up behind her / it to either side. I believe you're better sheltered if you go up the one on the right.
As long as your characters stay there, they're relatively immune to her attacks, though you need to be ready for some darkspawn (?) to come once or twice.
From that sheltered location you can have a mage launch area of effect attacks (like blizzard or tempest), and/or you can have a mage or other characters periodicaly go down the ramp, launch a ranged attack at her or her tentacles, and run back up. You might try having a mage do a cone of cold, have one other character come and attack, then run them both back up the ramp as it thaws, for example.
Anyway, you mainly need to get your party hidden on the backside where they're relatively sheltered. And I'd then do manual control of one character at a time to do things as described with the others simply staying put and ready to battle darkspawn that show up from time to time. And hopefully you have at least *some* health items or abilities in tow at all times at that point in the game....

When i try to use the approval cheat for Dragon Age Origins it only works for Morrigan.?

How do I use dragon age origins: awakening?
I have just downloaded and installed dragon age origins: awakening but I see no way to get into it.
Whenever I go into the normal DA:O, it is no different and doesn't offer any 'other campaigns' or anything.
Can anyone help? How do I use dragon age origins: awakening?
Just FYI if you haven't finished origins you can start a new characer, which start out at lvl 18. You will get much more out of it by finishing origins first, though. Playing awakening before finishing origins is like wiping before you poo, doesn't make sense. How do I use dragon age origins: awakening?

On the start screen click New Game, then you can select Awakening. You don't need to finish the main campaign to import your save, you can even start a new character in awakening if you want. You get the most out of it by importing a complete save though.

How much credit would i get for a nearly brand new copy of dragon age: origins?
Ok i got a copy of dragon age origins from my parents for christmas but my computer had met all of the minimum requirements but didn't have the right graphics card, so now i would to take it to gamestop and turn it in to get the 360 version so how much do you think i will get? I also might turn in bully for wii and gta 4 for 360 so if you could tell my how much for all of those. How much credit would i get for a nearly brand new copy of dragon age: origins?
No, no, no ,no ,no , no....
Do us a favor and don't turn it in to Game Stop please. Your parents paid a good 60$ for that game and Game Stop will only give you maybe 20$. I dont know how you got Bully for Wii but you'll maybe get about 13$. GTAIV for the 360 they'll give you maybe 25$.
So in total you'll get bout 58$. As soon as you leave that Game Stop those assholes will put Dragon Age for 60, Bully for 30 and GTA for 40$. They will rip you off so bad so please sell it to a friend that wants it or eBay because there youll get your moneys worth.

How come I cant use certain weapons and stuff in Dragon Age Origins?
I just got Dragon Age Origins this Christmas i didnt get far I just got past the possessed kid. But I noticed I cant use some weapons and other stuff like, enchanted dagger, the green blade, havards aegis, dwyns sword, etc. Does anyone know why i cant use these? How come I cant use certain weapons and stuff in Dragon Age Origins?
your stats in a specific category might not be high enough. for example a stronger sword might require 26 strength, and if you don't have that then you can't wield it. other items might be restricted to a certain class or even to a specific person. morrigan joined with a pair of robes that can only be worn by her.
in the inventory screen the requirements you don't meet for wielding a specific weapon will be in red.How come I cant use certain weapons and stuff in Dragon Age Origins?

What kind of class are you? Is your strength high enough to equip them? I never had any problems with this.

What year do the events in the video game Dragon Age:Origins take place?
The video game Dragon Age:Origins is one of the best game ever, and I have been wondering what year(s) these events would've taken place in if they happened in the real world. What year do the events in the video game Dragon Age:Origins take place?
Well. the middle ages, which the story seems to be based on, lasted from the 5th century to the 15th century. The Iron Age didn't really begin until somewhere in the 12th century. Being that the armor and weapons are so intricate and well crafted, I would guess the storyline would be at least into the 13th.
OK. Assuming we're looking at 1200-1500 for an approximate era. I take a bit of an issue with the fact that there are many steel weapons. Steel weapons were extremely rare and often not that strong in that time. Not until the invention of the Bessemer process in the late 19th century did steel become the indestructible super material of our day.
So, I know its fiction, but if I had to make a guess, I would say somewhere in the late 1400s. Mainly because this was the late period of the middle ages where these kinds of mythic tales were most popular.
Sorry so long, just trying to be accurate :)kasich what is a cell

i would you suggest you can go with Star Ocean: The Last Hope International
If you love good RPG games star ocean is one of the best. I played the last one for ps2 and loved it so I had high hopes for this. Turns out it lived up to everything and more. I played this for xbox but recently purchased a ps3. The Major difference that I see is that this game is all on one disk unlike the xbox version which you had to keep switching disk. That alone is enough for me to purchase this game for ps3. Gameplay wise this game is too good from its active battle systems to the very likeable characters and its quest and storyline. Any person who enjoys RPG's as much as i do should love this game. 5 stars all the way!!

Is the ps3 version of dragon age origins ultimate edition all on disc or download vouchers?
I want to get dragon age origins: ultimate edition on ps3. I know some games when re-released on ps3 they just put all the extra content on the disc since it's blu ray. So my question is do they do that for this re-release of dragon age or is it download vouchers like some other games do?Is the ps3 version of dragon age origins ultimate edition all on disc or download vouchers?
They are all on the disk. When you install them, you will have to go into the downloads portion of the game in the menus, but they are all on the disks, no need to go online.
BTW if this is the first time you are diving into dragon age... have fun... I had to play that game 2 times over again because it was just so good.

If i buy dragon age origins collectors edition for the xbox 360 from EA will i get it the day it comes out?
I want dragon age origins collectors edition for the xbox 360 but when i call gamestop they say the dont have a sku for it yet. Does anyone know if they will be getting any? Also if i order it from the EA website will it arrive one the day it comes out? HELP!If i buy dragon age origins collectors edition for the xbox 360 from EA will i get it the day it comes out?
In order to receive a hard copy of DA:O collectors edition, you will more than likely have to order online as you have indicated by mentioning EA website. I just purchased my own copy a few days ago and the only options are expedite for ~$15.00 more with an estimated shipping time of 1-2 days. Or you can wait for the 3-4 day shipping and not pay the extra fee. Chances are more than likely that DA:O CE buyers will be playing the next day instead of launch and that is only if they expedite it.
Gamestop is offering to ship regular versions of DA:O and deliver the day of release, however they are not offering any of the same bonus items as well CE's.If i buy dragon age origins collectors edition for the xbox 360 from EA will i get it the day it comes out?

How long is Dragon Age Origins with all the DLC?
I am looking for a game to play through out the summer, and I am looking at dragon age origins ultimate edition. My question is: If I play through the main story (and maybe some side quests) and do all of the DLC, how long will I have played? Or how long will it take me to do everything. How long is Dragon Age Origins with all the DLC?
As the others have said, if you try to do as many quests as you can, it should be around 70 hours. I've played several times and I really tried to milk my final playthrough for all it was possibly worth, and it was about 72.
It's one of the longest games out there, and I would definitely recommend it. Keep in mind that the replayability factor in Origins is extremely high. Your character can have one of six very different "origins" which will effect the game in different ways throughout, so you'll probably want to replay the game more than once (or at least play through all of the origins). How long is Dragon Age Origins with all the DLC?
From the main story and side quests you'll get around 60-70 hours.
For the Awakening DLC you should get between 15-25 hours depending on how quest happy you are.
Witch Hunt will get you another hour or so, but it's more of an epilogue than actual game extender.
Leliana's Song will also come in at around an hour to 2 hours
Golems of Amgarrak is rather short at 1-2 hours.
Same goes for The Darkspawn Chronicles, perhaps a bit less.
This is just an estimation based on playing the 'Normal' difficulty setting. Harder difficulties will take you much longer.
However if you do get the game I suggest you make a point of doing all the side quests you can get. If you don't you're just cutting yourself out of some good gaming. How long is Dragon Age Origins with all the DLC?
I haven't played all the DLC only Awakening. Awakening is about 15 hours and the core game itself is like 30 hours. And then all the other DLC might add 5-10 hours I wouldn't know I haven't played them.
But if your looking for another game to play over the summer Oblivion would be a good choice. And to save you some money buy the Ultimate Edition USED and then take the DLC from disk two. Return the Ultimate Edition and get the Regular $20 disk so you'll have all of it for only 20 bucks. Oblivion is about 60+ hours and it's a game you play through more than once.
I've played through all DLC (Darkspawn Chronicles, Leliana's Song, Awakening, Golems of Amgarrak %26amp; Witch Hunt), and the duration it took me to finish all of them was about 70 hours with the main story. However, it was my second time playing, so it did take me a little faster. Add an hour or two or a couple to it. It takes a while to get into if RPGs are not your element, but it's well worth the 70+ hours.

Will I undertand dragon age origins if i never played the other ones?
I am thinking about getting dragon age origins because it looks like it's a good rpg game and i am into those types of games. The problem is that i have never played any of the Dragon Age games, so would i understand the story line? If i am not going to understand the story line, then there is no point in purchasing the game.
One more thing. Is this game kind of like fallout or oblivion in any way? Will I undertand dragon age origins if i never played the other ones?
Origins is the first game of the dragon age series. You don't need any kind of foreknowledge to understand the game.
It's more like Oblivion in that it's a medieval fantasy setting with monsters and magic. But dragon age is not an open world like oblivion. I think you will still like it though. Will I undertand dragon age origins if i never played the other ones?
Hmmm... I think the fact the game is called Dragon Age":Origins" have given you an idea that there is already a predecessor. Well it doesnt. Its the first game in the series and the story is very easy to follow, especially if you have either read or watched the Lord of the Rings as some parts of the game is similar to the Lord of the Rings.
The game is like StarWars the Knights of the Old Republic, you have to pause the game and tactically move your party into a position such as putting your Tank on the frontline to hold a choke whilst your mage runsdown the party buffs and other spells. Whilst this maybe fun, it can be very boring when going through long dungeons however you can always stop and talk to your companians.
p.s There is a website on the internet which fellow players of the Dragon Age Community makes mod the lengthen the game and make it more entertaining. Will I undertand dragon age origins if i never played the other ones?
Dragon Age Origins is the only main Dragon Age game that is out right now. Awakening and the rest of the downloads are expansions or add-ons to Origins. The story is all self contained, so you can play this game and get the story.
The only other Dragon Age game out is Dragon Age Journeys, and that one is a small online browser based game with little story all all, and less to do with Origins.
Dragon Age 2 (coming out next year) takes place at about the same time as Origins, but involves different characters and a different story. However, if you play Origins and then get number 2, the decisions you made in Origins will still have an effect in number 2.
Yeah, I think that you'd get the grasp of the storyline pretty easily if you're a fan of RPG's. I'd say it is pretty similar to both of those games too. Dragon Origins is definitely a game worth buying.

What is the difference between Dragon age: origins and the ultimate edition?
I'm buying dragon age: origins online. I'm just not sure which one to get. Is there any difference to the actual game in the ultimate edition? I know you get awakenings with it, but the game itself is basically the same right? The reason i wonder is because the ultimate edition is actually cheaper than the original one on amazon. So I'm thinking maybe there's a downside to it? Anyway thanks for your help. What is the difference between Dragon age: origins and the ultimate edition?
Nah, they are the same, but the Ultimate Edition has more content (a lot more). The reason why it is cheaper than a copy of only the game itself is because the Ultimate Edition got better sales than the stand-alone disc of Dragon Age: Origins.
There's no downside to it. So go ahead and get it, because you will not regret every cent. What is the difference between Dragon age: origins and the ultimate edition?
The ultimate edition comes with awakenings and all the other dlc like witch hunt, leiliana's song, darkspawn cronicles, return to ostagar, and a few others (I can't remember their names right now). There is no downside to it, it's practically a steal for 2 games and all the dlc!

The ultimate edition comes with awakenings and all the other dlc like witch hunt, leiliana's song, darkspawn cronicles, return to ostagar, and a few others (I can't remember their names right now). There is no downside to it, it's practically a steal for 2 games and all the dlc!
Can you use the Dragon Age Origins disc instead of Dragon Age Awakening to play the game?
My Dragon Age Awakening disc jumps a lot making the game slow and and some of the picture to not show. I've been trying to clean it but it won't work. Is there any way that I can use the Origins disc to play the game instead? Thanks in advance! Can you use the Dragon Age Origins disc instead of Dragon Age Awakening to play the game?

The pair of three swappable shortcuts in the bottom right corner of the console version is replaced with a standard hot bar, where powers, stances, and skills can be slotted just as they are in countless MMO titles.
What is the difference between dragon age origins for the pc and dragon age origins for the ps3?

Dragon Age: Origins has also been patched. If you patched your old installation of the game but haven't patched the new installation, then your saved game might not appear because it is a newer file version.
