There's No Way To Become One Yet, But Maybe Bioware Will Make Some Sort Of Expansion In The Future (:
There is no way to become a werewolf, nor can they be your friends. If you play through the quest however, you will get the option of either killing the keep elf who made the curse on the wolves or kill the wolves. You cannot become a werewolf. If you can convince Witherfang to attack the Dalish camp, you will be able to call them into battle, instead of the Dalish, during the last portion of the game. Doing this also nets you the "Slayer" trophy.
